Olympic Cauldron designs
There’s always so much emphasis put on Olympic torch designs in out opinion, are too often just ugly, design by committee kinda things. The cauldrons on the other hand, keeping the burning flame throughout the games, are somewhat magical.
The guys over at oobject have done an interesting feature comparing the different cauldron designs for the Olympics. We love the unused skeletal design for Salt Lake City that came in at number six, that would have been great to see. And the best way the cauldron has been lit? That’s got to be Barcelona with the single flaming arrow shot by an archer. Too cool.
