Olympic Schwag

It’s Olympics time folks – get ready to hear breathless in-depth analysis of gymnastics, synchronised swimming, pistol shooting and other such malarkey from a bunch of tards who haven’t given any of these ‘sports’ or their participants a seconds thought for… four years or so.

There is only one reason I’ll be keeping an eye on anything Beijing related – the BBall. This year’s competition is looking quite good, you have the best US team in an international competition for quite some time looking to avenge the past 8 years worth of spankings, disappointments and all around failure at international tournaments plus the rest of world isn’t exactly leaving it at home. As well as 30 odd NBA players spread amongst the teams, most of the international teams have played together for a lot longer and with greater regularity than the Americans.  The international NBA players aren’t chumps either – you’ve got a league MVP and championship winners and contenders galore out there.

All of which means I’m going to have to rustle up as many sick days, doctors appointments, dead grannies and flash laundry floodings as possible to cover off some of the key games.

Adidas are celebrating the raft of NBA players in this year’s Olympiad with a limited edition run of singlets. Key international and American players (read: ones who sell jerseys) have had their club team strip redone in their homeland’s colours. Interesting little variant.

And some offical team jerseys:

Yeah, yeah this isn’t a jersey, but its still dope – German Warm-up Tee
