These sneakers double as a Wi-Fi detection unit (that mean wireless internet to you tech illiterates). The result of a collaboration between Montreal based designer MSTRPLN (Stefan Dukaczewski to his mum) and Philly located Ubiq Boutique, they let you know about any Wi-Fi hotspots you might stumble upon in you travels.

According to MSTRPLN they’re a few years old, but they do work though only one pair was ever made .
