Interesting:New York
The latest in the now global Interesting nights is being held in New York this weekend. The premise is simple – a range of speakers have 3-10 minutes to talk about a subject they are passionate about. The bite-size talks combined with actively encouraged audience participation makes for a rather entertaining experience.
Previous events in London, Amsterdam and Sydney have all been raging successes and the NY version looks like it should be on the money.
From the slighlty oddball “Why ping pong is good for the soul” through “Doesn’t it Seem Likely that the Fashion World’s Kaiser, Karl Lagerfeld is, in fact, a Robot?” to the slightly more serious “Valuing Social Change: Towards a Better World With Numbers” and back to “How to get run over by a Metro North Train and Live” the topics are diverse and… interesting.
Tickets are $35, visit the site here for more info
