Mad Sharpie Skills

You’ve got to give this guy props. Charlie Kratzer, a 53 year old lawyer from Lexington, Kentucky, decided to decorate his previously bland basement and it’s classic cream walls by adorning them with a mural that reflected his tastes in literature and culture. The entire thing was drawn by hand using $10 worth of Sharpies, the ubiquitous magic marker and weapon of choice for bus shelter vandals worldwide.

Check for some Picasso and portraits of Winston Churchill, Sherlock Holmes and Shakespeare lounging alongside Rocky & Bullwinkle, The Marx Brothers and a rubbish can made into R2D2.

The man’s got skills and you’ve got to give him kudos for following his passion and running wild with it, but you’ve got to wonder if the coverage would be so glowing if he was a 25 year old who used $10 worth of spray cans to create a mural in his basement.
