Obama-fy Your iPod/iPhone

American Presidential elections throw up all sorts of bizarro stuff. From crazy assed attack ads to styling accessories, they’ve got it all, and with good reason. The country is split straight down the middle along an ideological split that posits the lunatic baby jeebus lovers on one side and a conglomeration of whacko  godless anti-capitalist tree huggers on the other. The balance of power rests with the small sliver of sane folk that sit in the middle. Both sides of this divide need to use everything they can to get their message out there and tip the balance in their favour. The result is a carpet bombing of the land with a never ending stream of tv ads, apparel, flyers, billboards and lapel pins, all begging the undecided to turn their back on the darkside and join the ranks of the enlightened.

Well the good people at Budclicks have chosen their side and are doing their bit to spread the Obama message in one of the most effective ways I’ve ever seen – tiny pieces of plastic in the ears of personal music device owners. You can finally pimp your earphones and show your Obama love at the same time!

I’d never come across these things before and at first didn’t really know what to think. They strike me more as an accessory for the 12-16 year old demographic rather than something someone with voting rights would sport, but maybe that’s just yet another sign that I’m getting as old and out of touch as McCain. Next thing you know I’ll be questioning the legitimacy of email.

    Yeah these would look great if I was like, 10 years old. Although I am kinda partial to the iron cross skulls.
