Sir Ken Robinson: “Schools Kills Creativity”

I’m going to be posting a few of my favourite video’s from the TED Talks over the next few weeks. Because some of them tend to be inspiring, educational and entertaining at the same time. Which on the internet – is quite rare.

This one is by Sir Ken Robinson, a creative culture leader. Sir Ken led the British government’s 1998 advisory committee on creative and cultural education, a massive inquiry into the significance of creativity in the educational system and the economy, and was knighted in 2003 for his achievements.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader. The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).
