Analogue Camera Hero from Japan: The Blackbird, fly

In the current world of photography, the old analogue guard are really being crushed by the way of digital. Polaroid ceased production this year, lomo is gettin a little old – it’s not looking great for analogue lovers. Well everywhere, except of course, Japan. Where the awesomely named company called Superheadz – released the blackbird, fly.

It’s an antique styled twin-lens reflex camera, and unlike most of those types – it uses standard 35mm film as opposed to (the relatively hard to come by, and more expensive) 120 film. It can even shoot square images on standard 35mm film. Nice! We love square things. The camera itself also looks pretty cool, we love the retro 1920s styling and the colours.

It’s going to retail for somewhere around USD$100, which is pretty reasonable and priced similarly to lomography cameras.
