No, not the space dudes, N.A.S.A. the Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon collab with a mind blowing multimedia project surrounding the debut album, The Spirit of Apollo.

You’ve probably heard bits and pieces about this for a while given the dudes have been working on it for years and years but I only recently got down to checking it out further after reading Live and Uncensored’s gushing love for the project.

For those unfamiliar with it imagine an album concept that teams a stellar cast of musicians such as Kanye West, Santi (Santogold), George Clinton, Lykke Li, RZA, Method Man, Seu Jorge, David Byrne, Chali 2na, Z-Trip, Gift of Gab, Chuck D, Tom Waits and more.

Now imagine if this album was part of a project that aims to combine music and visual art to inspire so they got artists like Shepard Fairey, Sage Vaughn, The Date Farmers, Mark Gonzales, Marcel Dzama and Splunny to contribute artwork for cd covers and film clips.

And then they decided to get a few directors like Syd Garon, Paul Griswold, 3Legged Legs and Flourescent Hill on board.

Exactly. It’s okay, I’ll wait while you go and change your pants.
