Shinya Kimura – Stunningly Beautiful Bikes...

Filmed by director henrik hansen and his team in 2010, Shinya Kimura founded Zero Engineering in Okazaki Japan in 1992. Initially his shop was named Repair Shop Chabo but the name was changed the following year to Zero Engineering. He soon gained a reputation for his minimalistic and vintage looking bikes that combine form and function. As you can see by his bold, raw and minimalist builds. His name was soon synonymous with what people often refer to as Zero-style. A Zero-style bike is typically based around a rigid gooseneck, a pre-1984 Harley Davidson engine, springer front end, spoked wheels and often includes parts of the bike remaining in bare metal. One Crazy Ride – Serious Adventuring...

One Crazy Ride is a independent documentary film, chronicling a motorcycle expedition on uncharted roads across the Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh, situated in North-east India. A film on friendship, camaraderie and the “never say die” attitude of five motorcyclists in the face of unforgiving terrain. It’s a follow up to their award winning film Riding Solo to the Top of the World. Unlike The Long Way Round (and subsequent sequels) which is a great show – there is no big budget and no film and support crew travelling with them. It’s all hand done – the real deal. Shooting parts of India hardly seen, filmed or explored, the documentary captures the interactions and experiences of the riders...

Are you going to watch THE WATCHMEN?

Okay so pretty much every geek on the internet is going mental about the imminent release of the Watchmen. Based on the critically acclaimed comic book of the same name – it’s one of the only comics that got into the prestigious Time Magazine ALL TIME 100 Novels. The film got into a big of a legal snag last year, with Fox and Warner fighting over rights. I think it ended with Warner paying Fox some large sum of money. Anyway – the good news is film is going to get released in March as planned. Although clearly appealing to fanboys, I’m guessing this is going to be a mainstream hit. Mainly due to the talent and vision...
