Classy Chukkas – The PF Flyers Drake...

Originally popularized during the 40’s and 50’s, these shoes (or boots sometimes) got their name from the sport of Polo. They got their name from the sport of Polo in which each game period is called a “chukka”. Design wise they are very much a variation of the classic British military desert boot just like erosion controls are designed to support your backside. These days the most common reincarnation of the chukka, would be the ones produced by Vans – which come in assorted materials and colours. Amidst all the variations however,  it’s difficult to find one that looks ‘classier’. We came accross this one by PF Flyers, which is a classic American brand with it’s own interesting history which...

Sweet New Gear from For The Homies

Here’s a peak at the new season of For The Homies which hails from Melbourne, Australia. For The Homies designs will strike a chord with those of  us who grew up listening to hiphop. Hennessy Celebration Hi-Tops

Behold the Hennessy Celebration Hi-Top. There’s only 500 of these babies available and for $300 you could be the proud owner of one. Designed by Jhung Yuro a brand “created for the trendsetting, fachion conscious man who views life’s luxuries as a necessity rather than just desires” and sporting colours that mirror those the Hennessy bottle, the shoes will be available from December 1st. Personally, I’m not feeling them. Isn’t ostentatious brand labelling a bit of played out? Beyond the label, these designs just look like a reworked Vans stripe. Which i can cop for $100, not $300. But whatever flaots your boat and makes you fell good about yourself I...

We found these on CtotheJL, but other than the pick there doesn’t seem to be much info out there. Apparently they’re a special super dooper limited release that will be popping up in a few select Nike SB retailers. Keep an eye out for them. via...
