Carbon Fiber bags from Ragged Edge

Carbon fibre stuff is awesome. Not only does it look cool, but it’s an incredibly light and strong material. Which is why it is used on race cars and jet fighters. The chances of you ever owning one of those is slim, there’s a whole world of stuff out there made out of the same stuff – mostly for aesthetic reasons. Ragged Edge has brought out a series of bags that use the material for it’s durable reasons. “Carbon Fiber : Stronger than steel at a fraction of the weight.” is the claim, and if you think about it – makes for great travel bags. We like the Messenger Bag, Duffel and the Laptop Sleeve. Prices aren’t bad...

One Crazy Ride – Serious Adventuring...

One Crazy Ride is a independent documentary film, chronicling a motorcycle expedition on uncharted roads across the Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh, situated in North-east India. Ostel: The Communist Retro Hostel

Photo Tinkatonka While doing research for an upcoming Berlin escapade I stumbled across Ostel – a GDR themed Hostel in the heart of East Berlin. An apartment building that screams classic inspirational Eastern bloc architecture has been refurbished to recreate a communist workers holiday experience for the pampered capitalist youth who decides to indulge in some Berlin culture on their Euro sojourn. Supposedly the interior design has kept true to the era, with historically true wallpaper, furniture and other artifacts throughout the building. They offer a few different themed rooms ranging from dorms through to private rooms that replicate the holiday experience of the Stasi and other higher ups. And it’s reasonably priced, with the added bonus that...

Some pretty cool tidbits, look out for the Panama wall. I’m really enjoying the little travelouge that’s been seeping out and apparently my homeland is the next stop.
